This year, we had the opportunity to transform a wonderful property with immense potential. The apartment is part of a building dating back to 1903, situated at 21 Ivan Vazov Street, in the heart of Sofia. The apartment’s location within a quiet inner courtyard offers great advantages but also presented some challenges during the renovation.
The building's water pressure was extremely low due to a severely clogged main pipeline. We had to manually dig a new trench, lay new PPE pipes, and secure the connection to the central water supply.
The existing electrical system was inadequate for the increased power demands of modern appliances such as air conditioning units, boilers, stoves, and ovens. We replaced the old wiring with a new system, running a new supply cable from the main panel to the apartment.
The small size of the apartment was a significant challenge. The architectural decision to add terraces dramatically improved the overall feel and aesthetic of the apartment, making it a key feature of the project.
